New Mills Festival - Railing Wrap - day 4

Day 4 has been a busy day on site at the Hydro railing wrap. The sun was shining and throughout the day people have been adding their memories, thoughts, wishes and prayers. There have been visitors to the area, from Marple, Sheffield and West Essex! to name but a few who have left their mark.

Many local people have shared their memories and stories about the area to be woven into the work.

This afternoon a group of A level students worked on the project followed by the final group from school who began to extend the wrap in all directions!


Thank you to everyone who has been involved and don't forget to come back and bring your friends and families.


I will be on site at various times over the next couple of weeks,including this weekend, and will continue to make regular postings here so don't forget to check.

The final day will be on Saturday 24 September between 12 and 3pm so make a day of it as it is also an Open day at Torrs Hydro so you can take a look behind the scenes there also.
