New Mills Residency - November 2013

Among the river junk that I am working with at New Mills School is a fantastic assortment of blue and white ceramic tableware fragments.

I have chosen to work with these for my next project, concentrating on the tiny snippets of pattern.
I will take either a part or the whole of a pattern fragment and position it into a square.
All the scraps of pattern will be enlarged and reproduced in a textile piece to recreate a whole.

  1. We were talking about this in March - now the weather's warmer, paddling in the river should be more fun!
