Last term, students from New Mills School worked on a tree project inspired by wish trees and prayer flags.
Each student created a fabric label which contained memories, thoughts and messages. These labels are now displayed in a wrapped tree at the main entrance to the school on Church Lane, and part of the woolly wander trail. This installation will be taken down next week so make sure you see it before it disappears for ever.
The labels will be returned to the students and the wrapping fabric will be made into something else, taking with it the memories from the tree.
